The SPI Citizens were created in the Spring of 2007.  Nick Maclean, Jude Misik, and Bobby Fuller, (former) members of the Leesburg Fire are the founding members of the Citizens.  With the formation of the team, SPI offered to be the sponsor and provided the uniforms for the squad.
